Loïc Clément was born in 1981 in Bruges (Belgium). He is a passionate reader and passionate about books, having run a specialized book shop and worked as a literary critic and librarian before becoming a writer himself. He is now a comics scriptwriter and author of illustrated books. One of his first books, the graphic novel "Le Temps des mitaines" (Didier Jeunesse, 2014) created alongside Anne Montel, was awarded multiple prizes. The pair of authors came back together in 2016 for the graphic novel "Les Jours sucrés" (Dargaud; "Days of Sugar and Spice," Europe Comics).
